The environment is very important to us and is therefore central in our operations.
We can rightfully say that our succulents are environmentally friendly, because:

  • Zero water discharge
  • Zero pesticide discharge
  • Zero fertilizer discharge
  • Use of organic pesticides
  • Energy-efficient greenhouses
  • Separated waste
Our modern greenhouses and expert growers enable us to produce healthy plants. By scouting for possible diseases and pests every week, we can act early to eradicate them and therefore use very minimal pesticides. Our use of fertilizer is also minimal; due to complete recirculation of the substrate water, nothing is discharged. We purify the return substrate water and are then able to reuse this water with the used fertilizers.

All these factors allow us to meet the most stringent requirements of MPS.
Mid 2003, OVATA MPS-GAP became certified. MPS-GAP is a qualification system for producers of ornamental plant products, which corresponds to existing company and registrations systems, such as MPS, GLOBALGAP and ISO. The production requirements set by the supermarket organizations are articulated in MPS-GAP and focus on cultivation and work conditions, the environment and nature.
